The old logo and color scheme of FBG gave the impression that they focused on traditional style and aesthetics, which limited their market reach. However, as a family business transitioning to younger ownership, their goal was to convey a more modern appeal. To achieve this, the logo was updated with a more modern look, and the color palette was changed from an earthy theme to a more contemporary one. The Logo.

After being in business for nearly 30 years, the Frankel Building Group decided to update its logo. However, the biggest challenge was to ensure that the brand equity built over the years was not lost. The old logo was too specific to a particular building style and the color palette was very traditional. Despite this, the company wanted to retain certain elements of the old logo to maintain familiarity. To achieve this, we looked at the window in the old logo, deconstructed it a bit, and matched the more transitional style of windows. Leaving the bottom square open to represent the idea of building towards something, we were able to create a mark that could be used as a standalone "F". The type in the logo emulated the layout of the previous logo but with a more modern and updated feel.
